Florence Ida Sheffer 1864-1934 dau of John Sheffer 1832-1918 & Elnora Zarada Webber 1844-1903 of Iowa. She was well educated & seen that her children were as well.Starting the first school in her own living room until a small school house could be built. She married a widower James Dallas Thayer 1845-1896 on 30 Jul 1882 Neligh,Antelope Co.,Neb. She was a true early pioneer women, raising her 3 children on a ranch,Loran D.Thayer 1884-1896,Colia Florence 1885-1939,Lola Viola 1887-1895-dying of Diptheria abt 8 yrs.old,then husband James dies of pneumonia 1896 and is buried in the Manville,Dellview Ceme.marked with a sandrock.Three months after he passes she marries Solon E.Clark 1866-1941 on 1896 Hat Creek,Wy. who is also buried in Glenrock Ceme.with his 2nd wife Mabel. She and Solon have three children, then divorce, she moves and takes the children to her old ranch, Jesse Irwin Clark 1897-1898 buried in GlenRock Ceme,Autumn Elnora Clark 1900-1969 went to Calif.,Glen Irvin Clark Sr. 1904-1977, he moved and settled in South Dakota, Florence soon found it hard to run a ranch alone,she bought her a house near her daughter ,Coila Hunter, and was also close to her favorite church.Her health began to fail, she passed away in her home. At 70 yrs. & 7 months. As written in a family research book by Ralph Hastings,publ.1968.'
