ELEANOR KATHRYN MOSER TATE
Eleanor Kathryn Moser Tate, 96 and formerly of Prairie Village and later Leavenworth, died August 16, 2009 in Overland Park.

She retired from the Military Review at Fort Leavenworth where she worked for the colonel.

She was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, to Charles Tilghman Moser and Mary Jane "Mayme" Hinton Moser, and married William Buel Tate, who preceded her in death in 1980, as did her only child, Mary Elsie Tate Hastings, M.D. in 1983, and her only sibling, Charles Hinton Moser.

She is survived by her grandsons, Matthew Moser Hastings, M.D., and David Tate Hastings, her son-in-law, John Powell Hastings, her step daughter-in-law, Melanie Hastings, her step grandchildren, William Woodson Hastings and Emily Ann Hastings, and her nieces Jane Drum and Glenn Rogers.

Funeral Service will be at the First Baptist Church, 13th and Osage, Leavenworth at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
