Mrs. Heiple Is Called
The many friends of Mrs. Matilda Rebecca Heiple, well known resident of Auburn for the past thirty years, were saddened to hear of her death last Saturday evening.
Mrs. Heiple passed away in the Highland hospital at 9 o'clock, after having been removed there three days before when she suffered a stoke at home.
Mrs. Heiple was 64 years of age at the time of her death. She was born in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania, on February 28, 1874, moving to California in 1908 and settling in auburn where she has lived ever since.
She was the wife of the late Harry A. Heiple and raised one daughter, Catherine, in Auburn.
Mrs. Heiple was the center of a wide circle of friends who knew her for her kind and loveable character. Her familiar presence will be missed by many from her home on Lincoln Way.
Funeral services wer conducted in the Hislop's Chapel of the Hills Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, followed b interment in the family plot of Auburn cemetery.
Mrs. Heiple is mourned by her daugher, Mrs. Catherine Ricci; and three step-duaghters, Mrs. R.E. Dahlberg, Mrs. Martin Evers, and Miss Ethel Heiple all of Auburn.
