FARMER FOUND DEAD in a FIELD WEST OF BYHALIA
Richwood- Charles U. Headington, 85, of west of Byhalia, was found dead Friday at 4:30 p.m. in a field on the farm of Ahrl Oates', adjacent his own property. He was found by Mr. Oates.

Dr. Malcolm McIvor of Marysville, Union County coroner, ruled death occurred Thursday about 5 p.m. He said Mr. Headington had suffered a heart attack. A search party of neighbors and friends had searched the area for 24 hours.

Born Oct. 23, 1881, on the farm where he spent his lifetime, he was the son of Loveless and Catherine Williams Headington.

He was married in Wapakoneta on July 18, 1913 to Omah Tallman who survives. He was a farmer and retired carpenter.

Survivors also include 5 daughters, Mrs. Raola Floyd and Mrs. Peggy Allison of Columbus, Mrs. Catherine Allen of Waverly, Mrs. Betty Shawd of Kenton and Mrs. Lois Schafer of Mount Cory; 2 sons, Ross and Roy of RR 1, West Mansfield; a brother Clay of West Mansfield, and 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Ballinger Funeral Home at Richwood by Rev. Robert Robinson. Burial will be in Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 tonight.
