Ethel T. Becker, 92, died June 28, 1985, at the Ledges Manor. She was born May 3, 1893, in Ogden, the daughter of Edward and Mary Edith (Van Meter) Merriam. She married John Becker October 18, 1924, at Vinton. Ethel was a former employee at the Ball Tailor Shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, C. Dean of Waterloo, and Jack of Boone; a daughter, Jean Eskridge of Broadview Heights, Ohio; two sisters, Isabelle Husmann, Ogden, and Louise Hensen, Mitchellville; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eternal Life Church in Luther, with the Revs. Don Thomas and Theodore Clemens officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schroeder Funeral Home until 9 p.m. tonight and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
