Paula, age 62, of Cambridge, died peacefully at her home Wednesday after an eight-month battle with brain cancer. She was born the daughter of James & Nina (Burwell) Westfall. Paula graduated from Benson High School in 1965, and then majored in French at Dana College in Blair, NE. She married Phillip Vasby on March 21, 1970, in LaGrange, IL. Together they moved to Cambridge, WI in 1972. Paula worked for Prange's Department Store in Madison, and later Bank of Cambridge before joining Vasby Farms Inc. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was active in the choir and worship committee. She is survived by her husband, Phil of Cambridge, WI; son, Joshua Vasby of Portland, OR; daughter, Jenna (Ryan) Ellickson of Cambridge, WI; daughter, Chloë Vasby of Cambridge, WI; two grandchildren, Haley and Nicholas Ellickson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Westfall of Arizona; brother, Robert Westfall of Arizona; sister, Barbara (Stephen) Veitch of Arizona; also survived by many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services were held at Grace Lutheran Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Dan Dibbert.
