John was the husband of Emmaline Eliza "Emma" Parker. Their known children were Electa A., Jesse "Jess," Arizona Donnie "Arrie Kate," and Eva Mae Clark. No burial record has been found but it's thought that he died about 1877 in probably Greene Co., Missouri.
