Rita L. Reffo, 78, of Derry died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home. She was born Tuesday, July 23, 1929, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late James A. and Marie E. O'Brien Loughner. Rita was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Haake and husband Alvin, Derry, Janet Bollinger and husband Charles, Latrobe, and Sandra Thomas and husband Kenneth, Torrance; two sons, Keith and wife Michelle, Seger, and Felix Jr.; five sisters, Marion Banocy, Bradenville, Betty Anderson, Elkhart, Ind., Isabelle Bruggeman, Greensburg, Carol Staniscia, Blairsville, and Mary Lou Agostino and husband Monty, Derry; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix M. Reffo Sr.; a daughter, Karen Bryant; three brothers, James, Thomas and Paul Loughner; and three sisters, Nancy Lee and Mary Jane Reffo and Janet Manno. Friends were received in the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry. Funeral service was conducted Tuesday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the pastors of the church officiating. Private interment followed in Coles Cemetery, Derry Township.
