Addison C. Arnold of Athens died September 9, 1915, at People's hospital in Sayre after an illness of three weeks of Typhoid fever, aged 74 years. He was a son of George Arnold of Warren, who with four brothers and two sons were soldiers of the Civil War. Addison enlisted in Company B, 141st P. V. and served until January, 1863, when he was discharged on Surgeon's certificate. For may years he was prominently engaged in farming at Bumpville, moving to Athens in 1883. Besides his second wife, two sons and two daughters survive. Funeral services in charge the G. A. R. were held Saturday; interment in Bumpville cemetery.
