She is best known for her role in the television situation comedy "Family Matters" as 'Myra Monkhouse', the girlfriend to 'Steve Urkel"'s girlfriend. Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in New York, to parents who were in the entertainment field. Her mother a thater actress and her dad a member of the famed R & B group, "Kool & the Gang". Developing her own performing skills at a young age, she became a talented singer. In addition to music, she studied jazz, modern and hip-hop dance at the Broadway Dance Center in New York. At age 16, she was offered a recording contract, but decided to move to Los Angeles, California and focus on her acting career. There Thomas landed a national commercial on her very first audition. Her other televison credits included the role of 'Justine Phillips', the girfriend of 'Theo Huxtable' on the popular comedy "The Cosby Show," the movie "Dream Date" and appearances in videos for R&B groups Mint Condition and Dru Hill. Up until she became ill, she played the role of an aspiring singer, 'Callie', on the soap opera "The Young and The Restless."
