Mr. Sowers was a builder and cement worker and loved to garden, fish and could fix anything. He was a member of the Rocky Point full gospel Church.
He is survived by his wife; Anna May Sowers of the home in Wagoner; six children; one sister, Irene Scroggins of Wagoner; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 3, 1996, in the Church of God with the Rev. Carl Murphy officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Butch Scroggins, Warren Brinker, JR., Jimmy Barry, Jimmy Scroggins, Louis Sowers and Terry Sowers. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Hersman-Nichols funeral Home.
