Birth: unknown
Death: Oct. 16, 1879

Published in The Rochester Sentinel (Weekly Edition)Saturday, October 18, 1879

DIED-The numerous friends of the family of Major BITTERS, late editor of the Spy, who only last week removed to Rensselaer to make that their future home, will be grieved to learn of their sad affliction by the death of the pet of the household, little Freddie [BITTERS], their five year old boy. The family had scarcely reached their new home, and before they had got to housekeeping their darling was taken with diphtheria which resulted in his death on Thursday morning of this week. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, a few of the friends from this place attending. Under any circumstances the affliction is terrible but as strangers in a strange place it is doubly severe. . .
