Mr. Aug. Hanke [sic] an old and esteemed citizen of Fayette County passed away Saturday morning at his residence and was laid to rest at the High Hill cemetery Monday afternoon, Rev. Peipenbrok of Weimar officiating.
Deceased was 54 years of age. Leaves his parents, a wife and two children, Gus and Annie to mourn his loss. Peace be to his ashes.
