Services for John W. Hobbs, 78, a retired director of the Stewart-Warner corporation, will be held tomorrow in Springfield, where he died Wednesday. He was general manager of the George W. Borg corporation in Chicago from 1930 to 1937, founded his own company in Springfield in 1938, and became a director of Stewart-Warner when it bought out his company in 1956. Surviving are his widow, Ellen; a son, John; a daughter, Mrs. W. Thomas Sowers; and a granddaughter.
