Harriet Eliza Crain was born April 20, 1847. She married William H. Kirk, of Scotch birth, but a veteran of our Civil War. Their children were: James Benjamin, Harriet, William H., Mary, Effie, Letha and Viva. They made their home for many years at Almira, Washington [sic], where she still lives, her husband having died Feb. 5, 1918.
