Priscilla Dene Battles of Wilburton, Oklahoma died Saturday November 7, 2009 in Wilburton at the age of 86. Priscilla was born to Harry and Mary Maude (Horton) Wilcox June 29, 1923 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. She married R.C. Battles August 9, 1940 in Panola, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. She worked as a riveter at Douglas Aircraft, a meat packer for Armor and a provider for DHS. Priscilla enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Wilburton. Priscilla is survived by her son, Jearld Battles and wife Vickie of Wilburton, Oklahoma; daughter, Brenda Mitchell and husband Victor of Wilburton, Oklahoma, grandchildren; James Mitchell, Monte Battles, Shawn Battles, Steven Battles, Todd Battles, Jeremy Mitchell and Shereen Posey, twenty two great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Maude Wilcox; her husband R.C. Battles in 1998; daughter, Bonita Ann Battles; grandchildren, Velina Beauchamp, Shannon Ezekiel; great grandchild, Alex Jearld Battles- Johnson and twelve brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday November 9, 2009 at First Assembly of God Church in Wilburton officiated by Rev. Conley Wright. Interment will follow in Baldwin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Monte Battles, Shawn Battles, Steven Battles, Todd Battles, James Victor Mitchell and Jeremy Lee Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Battles and Derek Battles. Arrangements are entrusted to Jones-Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton, OK.
