Death of Clarence Thresh
Mrs Alonzo Lane Otsego was called to the bedside of her son Clarence Thresh of South Bend, Indiana, who was seriously ill, and was with him a week before his death which occurred Saturday 26 May. Those attending the funeral from this vicinity were: Jacob Thresh, Charles Thresh and G H Thresh of near Adamsville, George V Trottman of Zanesville, Mr and Mrs D A Bassett and daughter of Coshocton, Mrs Emma Buker, Mrs L S Case, Miss Blanche Wortman and Alonzo Lane of Otsego, and Mrs Ella Buckalew of Adamsville.
The funeral was conducted last Tuesday, and burial was made in Plymouth, Indiana. The above story was received by the Register last week too late for publication, and was already in type when the following account of the death of Mr Thresh came Tuesday morning. It is a reprint clipped from a Plymouth, Indiana daily. Clarence W Thresh, aged 44 a former Plymouth boy, passed away at his home, 217 East Pokagon Street, South Bend, Indiana, Saturday evening at 10:30 o'clock May 26 1928, following an illness of ten days. He was born in Otsego, Ohio, son of Mr and Mrs George Thresh May 24 1884, and had been a resident of South Bend for 20 years. He was united in marriage to Mabel Schafer daughter of Mr and Mrs William Schafer of near Plymouth June 10 1908. He is survived by his wife and one son Billy, and his Mother Mrs Mary Lane, of Otsego, Ohio. Mr Thresh was an accountant with the Studebaker corporation, a member of South Bend Lodge No 294 F&AM and of the Westminster Presbyterian church, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at the home in South Bend at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, after which the body will be laid to rest beside that of his father in Oak Hill Cemetery, this city----Plymouth Daily Pilot
