Mary Elizabeth Ropp went home peacefully on October 14, 2002 at the age of 88. She was born June 7, 1914 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Charles and Maggiebelle Wilder.

She graduated from Rockford High School and Brown Business College, working as a secretary until marrying and moving to Lansing, MI in 1953.

She lived in Mason, MI from 1966 to 1996 when she moved to Holt.

Mary outlived her four siblings and is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clayton; daughter, Sylvia of Holt; and son, Douglas Lee of Phoenix, AZ. Also, several neices and nephews.

Mary will be remembered for her pleasant smile and many friends. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, senior citizen activities, and playing the piano. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church for 48 years.

Funeral arrangements by Gorsline-Runciman, Lansing chapel.

She passed away in Holt, and actually lived about half of her life in Rockford, IL.

Mary was married to Clayton Peter Ropp on Feb. 3, 1951.
