Geneva Norton Sane, 74, of Parrottsville, passed away Monday morning, July 28, 2003, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Nola Norton; brothers, James Norton, Bartley Norton, and Robert Norton; sisters, Ollie May Norton and Virginia Norton.

She was a member of Long Creek Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Sane, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ishmael and Freda Sane, of Parrottsville; grandchildren, Dwight Sane and Teresa Sane, both of Parrottsville; brothers: Roscoe Norton, Andrew Norton, Pedro Norton, and Denver Norton, all of Newport, and Herbert Norton, of Dandridge.

Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews and many special friends, including the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.

Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Matt Reece officiating.

Friends and family will meet at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. interment.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
