She was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman Swanger; son, David Swanger; daughters, Shirley Adams, Pauline and Joann Swanger.
Mrs. Green was a long time member of Fugate Free Will Baptist Church in Del Rio.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Green, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Wilma Swanger and Glen and Cathy Swanger; daughters and sons-in-law: Alice and Howard Haney, Irene and Rex Norton, Reba and Paul Sawyer, and Eva and James Shetley; daughters: Betty Orr, Margaret Jenkins, and Sharon Turner; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mae Babin, of Baton Rouge, LA; Betty Wyatt, Christine Lanning, Minnie Manos, and Helen Holt, all of North Carolina.
Additional survivors include special family member Nellie Swanger, lots of friends and other loved ones.
Services were held Sunday, January 26, at 8 p.m. at Fugate Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Sawyer, Rev. Gregg Warren, and Rev. Rex Norton officiating.
Family and friends met at 9 a.m. Monday morning at Fugate Free Will Baptist Church to go in procession to Clark Cemetery for the 10 a.m. interment.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Fugate Free Will Baptist Church. Family was at the church all night, friends and family were welcome to stay.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
