A poem written by:
Cowboy Burnett
February 5, 1984

As I stood looking at the moonlight sky,
You could feel the presence of God as the wind blew by.
You could see all of the Heavens lit up by the great light,
And feel His love all in the night.
The peace and quiet is a lovely sight,
Just you and the Lord on a moonlight night.
I can take my burdens and troubles to a favorite tree,
Where I can be alone, the Lord and me.
I know he is real to open my eyes
And see His handiwork by the moonlight sky.
Oh what a blessing we miss by sitting so tight
And never visiting the Lord on a moonlight sky.
