Alice Ward (Jarvis) White Geist.

Alice Ward "Allie" Jarvis was the daughter of John Orr and Emma C. Jarvis.

She married (first) Charles F. White abt 1886 in Reno Co., KS. They had the following children: Cora, Fay F., Willis C., Russell, twins Ira and Ora, Nova, Hazel Emma (married Roy Greenlee) and Charlene.

She married (second) Edward Robert Geist on 27 Jan 1904 in Plevna, Reno Co., KS. They had the following children: Lewis E., Clifford Charles, Lloyd Jarvis and Helen Eunice.

Allie died in the Hospital in Modesto, CA and was buried 17 Aug 1933.

Services Held For Mrs. Alice Geist

Funeral rites for Mrs. Alice Wade Geist, 62, who died in a hospital here Monday, were held in the First Christian Church Thursday morning with Rev. Carman E. Mell officiating.

A native of Iowa, Mrs. Geist had resided in Modesto for the past four years. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Interment was in the Modesto Cemetery.

Besides her husband, Edward R. Geist of Modesto, she leaves ten children: Russell White, O.C. White and W.C. White of Texas, Mrs. C.F. Pashke of Idaho, Mrs. H.S. Bell of Utah, Mrs. R.F. Greenlee of Modesto, Clifford, Lloyd and Helen Geist of Modesto and L.E. Geist of Sacramento. She was a sister of D.F. Jarvis of Modesto, Everett Jarvis of Oklahoma and E.M. Jarvis of Utah.
