Daniel Gallery served in the U.S. Navy in World War I. After the war, he received a Law Degree from the University of Iowa. He practiced law and was the City Attorney for Winterset for much of his life. Daniel was the county atorney for Madison County, IA at several different times during his life-long legal career in Winterset and was the Mayor during the Winterset Centennial in 1949.
