Orin Crone dies
Former resident Zoar community
Orin Crone, Harrison County retired farmer, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at National Nursing Home, Corydon. He was 83 years of age.
Mr. Crone was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. His parents were the late Clarence and Nellie Nelson Crone.
Surviving are a son, Merrill Crone, New Albany; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Wilma) Rissler, Sellersburg, and Miss Margaretta Crone, New Albany; two brothers, Joe Crone, New Albany and Clem Crone, Crandall; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. Saturday in Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey. Rev. Everett McFarland officiated. Music was by Mrs. Oddas Schmidt, vocalist with Mrs. Claude Flock organist. Burial was in Lanesville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Sheldon and Archie Crone, Brenton and Ernie Byerly, Maurice Snider and Robert Hamilton.
