From Fayetteville, county seat of Lincoln County, Tennessee: Land survey for Austin Patrick: Page 49, No 90.

State of Tennessee, Lincoln County. By virtue of a copy of Entry No. 413 entered the 5th July 1824 to me directed by the entry taken of Lincoln County I have surveyed for Austin Patrick fifty acres of land situated in Lincoln County on the waters of Farris Creek, a north branch of Elk River. Beginning on an Elm & Buckeye running north eighteen & a quarter poles to a Mulberry, thence west one hundred and twenty six poles to a Beech, thence south sixty three & a quarter poles to two Dogwoods, thence east one hundred & twenty six and a half poles to a Beech, thence north forty five poles to the beginning, this 31st day of August 1824.

This land is now covered with the backwaters of a dam that had been built across the Elk River. The land was located next to that owned by William Crockett, a brother of Davy Crockett.

His first seven sons served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War - one died as a POW and one son lost a leg.

After Thomas died in Keener, DeKalb County, Nancy came to Texas where she died in Cooke County.
