Maurice and Betty were married Oct. 25, 1947, in Lewistown. They made their home at the Shammel Ranch near Hilger for 46 years. After leaving the ranch, they moved to Billings and made their home. She was a dedicated homemaker and also helped with ranching operations and decisions.
Betty had many passions in life. In her earlier years she was a creative 4-H leader and taught many girls how to sew well. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, square dancing, and was an avid seamstress. She made all of her square dancing skirts, and matching ties for Maurice. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
