For fifty-two years Betsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. The one thing that she truly enjoyed was her greeting card ministry. Whenever the occasion arose she would send cards just to say "I'm thinking of you". Even though her last years were filled with illness, you never heard her complain. All you saw was a friend who greeted you with kindness and love, but most of all with that infectious smile.
Betsy was an active and dedicated member of the Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church. She was always involved in every function whether it was cooking, cleaning, dish washing or fund-raising. She was also a member of the Arpadhon Hungarian Settle Cultural Association, Tucker A. Gregoire American Legion Auxiliary Unit 258 and the Hungarian Settlement Historical Society. A staunch supporter of all these organizations, she was strong, steadfast and dependable.
Betsy is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Jimmye King McAdams and her husband Earl; Lori King Gieseler and her husband Richard; one son James John King, Jr; one sister Billy Lewis and her husband Dubb; ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Words cannot describe the lost we all felt when Betsy was called home. The love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness and faith she so generously displayed may be silenced but they will forever be in our hearts. To have know Betsy was being in the presence of one of God's Angels.
