Catharine Brady, wife of Charles S. Brady passed away at her home in Cleveland township, Marshall county, Kansas on Monday, April 13, 1891.She was 29 years and 6 months of age.
Mrs. Brady was born in York county, Pennsylvania. She came to Kansas with her parents eleven years ago, and has resided here ever since.
She taught three terms as a school teacher in District 14 before her marriage to Charles Brady.
She was surrounded by her husband, her parents, brothers and sisters and friends at the time of her death at 10:00. Her remains were carried to the hearse by John T. Burke, Michael Carney, James Sullivan, Willie Wadrick, Patrick Brannan and Patrick Brown.
Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Irish Creek with Father Meahan officiating at a High Mass. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
