Henry Wright Robinson was a cabinet maker and long-time member of the Plymouth Congregational Church at Syracuse, NY. In the records of that church is the following obituary:

Robinson - In Golconda, Ill., Monday, Aug. 11, 1884 at the residence of his daughter, Deacon Henry W. Robinson, aged 65 years. Deacon Robinson had been till last fall for many years a resident of Syracuse, and an honored officer in the Plymouth Church here. He was a most genial and excellent man, and his death will bring sorrow to many in this city and elsewhere, who have known and loved him. The readers of The [Church] Journal may remember an interesting letter published from his pen, in our columns last spring, written on board the relief steamer Throop, which he accompanied in it bearing help to villages and towns devastated by the floods. He was always ready for every good word and work, and had learned the great lesson of 'being blessed by being a blessing.'

Henry Wright Robinson was a 6th generation descendant of Rev. John Robinson of Scrooby, Nottinghamshire, England and Leiden, Holland, pastor of the 1620 Mayflower Pilgrims from Leiden to Plymouth, Mass. He was also a descendant of Mayflower passenger Edward Fuller.
