Leonard Edwin Perry born in Troy Center, Walworth county, Wisconsin
The death of Leonard Edwin Perry occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugene Remer, near Carpenter, Wyoming May 19, 1919. He was born May 16, 1841 at Troy Center, Wisconsin. When eight years of age his father took the family to Michigan to reside while he went to the gold fields of California. He enlisted on Nov 11, 1961 in Company B, Thirteenth Michigan Infantry, at Plainsville, Michigan as a private but before the close of the war he was commissioned second lieutenant. He was honorably discharged Jul 28, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky. He was married on Feb 22, 1866 to Miss Henrietta Sarah Bunker of Troy Center Wisconsin.
The funeral services were held by the Masonic Lodge at Pine Bluffs Sunday, May 25, 1919, 2 p.m. and his remains were laid at rest in the Pin Bluffs Cemetery.
