"Mrs. Lillie Rebecca sherry, aged 45 years, died at 11 o'clock this morning after an illness of several years. She is a native of Biloxi and has lived here all her wife. She was the wife of Captain Joseph Sherry of this city and was the daughter of Emile Ladnier, who was at one time mayor of Biloxi and a large real estate owner both here and across the bay, having at one time owned all of Deer Island, the property on East Beach which is now the site of the Church of the Redeemer and other valuable property about the city. Besides her huband she leaves six daughters, Mary, Henrietta, Reva, Florence, Eula and Lillian, all of this city; and two sones, Emile of New Orleans and Joseph of Biloxi. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed but will take place tomorrow afternoon with services at the Church of the Nativity and interment at the Biloxi cememter. Mrs. Sherry was a faithful wife and had numerous friends in Biloxi."
