Raymond Gus Didier, 85, died in his home Tuesday, October 10, 2000. He is survived by one daughter, Linda Raye Lovvorn of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who was also his "buddy" and best friend, one grandchild, Alicia Lovvorn of the University of Arkansas, who was the apple of "papa's eye". He was proud of Alicia's scholastic record and her wonderful personality. He is also survived by one brother Pete Didier of Fort Smith, who is the eldest and only survivor of the four "boys," also three sisters, Florentine Vozel, Emma Ulmer and Nancy Ray, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Raymond lived his life on what has been known for nearly a century as "Didier's Stretch." He loved the land and farming was his hobby. Many, many friends were recipients of delicious fruits and vegetables from his garden.
