ROTAN — Graveside services for B. Gay Sherrill, 68, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bellview Cemetery with Calvin Jackson officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002.
She was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Big Spring. She graduated from Snyder High School and the University of Houston with a bachelor of arts degree. She moved to Midland from Washington D.C. in 1989. She moved to Lubbock in Oct. 14, 2002.
She was the training branch chief for the U.S. Army Department in Washington. She was in charge of writing officers manuals for the M-1 tanks. She was also manager of the Book Pack in Midland. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, James Belton Hargrove of Idalou; a brother, John Bruce Cox of Rotan; a sister, Loel Forrest of Snyder; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
