Age 85, lifetime resident of Owosso, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center.
Robert worked for General Motors in material control for forty-five years before retiring in 1981.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Nelson-House Funeral Home, with Elder Ron Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm, with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
Robert was born September 6, 1924 in Owosso, the son of Jonah and Flossie (Schneider) Hall. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper during World War II and became a Prisoner of War.
On January 8, 1946 he married Lois L. Brock in Indiana. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, the VFW, Post 9455 and the DAV, Chapter 63.
Survivors include his son, Richard W. (Sandra) Hall of Owosso; four grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Hall, Jennifer Klco, Julie (Kevin) Pfeifle and Shalice Hall of Florida; great-grandson, Trevor Klco; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lois; two sons, Carl D. Hall and James R. Hall; and a brother, Wayne Hall.
