age 55, born in Knoxville, Tn. on May 31, 1953 to John and Gladys Rathbone, passed away January 21, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She fought a long and hard fight with diabetes, but is now at peace with her Heavenly Father. She was of the Mormon faith. She was a loving Aunt Sue to many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her one and only son, Travis Barksdale and wife Katie in Cullman, Alabama; three brothers, Loyd, Dwanye, and Wayne McCarter; two sisters, Louise Frazier and Linda Hughes. The family would like to thank NHC Healthcare of St. Mary's for all of their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
