Alton - Seth A. Roberts, contractor exterior and interior decorator, died February 23, 1943, at his home in Huntington, Ind. He had been in ill health for two years, but kept his business going and was on the job with his men up to two weeks before his death. He was taken to the clinic at Fort Wayne, where the attention of the best physicians was given him, but his condition was beyond remedy and death, caused by Bright's disease and complications, came Wednesday.
Seth Alonzo, son of Alexander Scott and Emma Kemp Roberts, was born in Alton, August 1, 1881. His boyhood days and early manhood was spent in Alton.
He was united in marriage to Ola Hetmensperger, of Huntington, and besides his devoted companion, he is survived by his aged mother and two nephews. His father, two sisters, Alice and Mae and one brother, Harry, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday at the Bailey funeral chapel, with the Masonic lodge in charge. Burial was in MT. Hope cemetery.
Mrs Emma Roberts, accompanied by Mrs Frankie Riddle, went to Huntington the first of last week, returning home Saturday.
