Lib was born in Kingbee, Kentucky on August 1st, 1930, son of the late James Killis Dick and Vada Dick. He was a farmer and enjoyed and loved farm life, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lib and Violet had 60 years of marriage together. He accepted Christ on October 5th, 2008. Lib loved his family with all his heart and was so proud of all of his children.
Lib was survived by his loving wife, Violet Lillian Baugh Dick, whom he married on July 8th, 1949; six children, Diane (and Garry) Greer, Connie Daulton, Terry (and Linda) Dick, Vickie (and David) Durham, Carol (and Jim "Murph") Murphy, and Douglas (and Julie) Dick; fourteen grandchildren, Scott Greer, Randy Greer, Julie Hillman, Ben Daulton, Andy Daulton, Josh Dick, Crystal Dick, Patrick Durham, Kelly Carrigan, Kevin Dick, Kendra Mounce, Tayler Dick, Katie Dick, and Kristi Murphy; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Mounce, Hayley Roach, and Kalob Roach; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Killis and Vada Dick; one sister, Lois Ann Dick Harmon; and one brother, Roy W. Dick.
Visitations were held after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th, 2009 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26th, 2009 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Noel Dodson officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery.
