For three seasons (1946 to 1949), he played the guard position in the Basketball Association of America with the Philadelphia Warriors. Raised in Philadelphia, Musi attended Overbrook High School and later Temple University. While with the Owls, he was a two-sport athlete excelling at baseball and basketball. He received honorable mention All-American recognition in 1942. While serving in the United States Army during World War II, he was stationed in the Philippines and was recipient of the Bronze Star. His professional basketball career highlights include captaining Eddie Gottlieb's 1946-1947 BAA Champion squad. The team which featured future Hall of Fame player Joe Fulks made history by capturing the first championship title in the league that would evolve into the current National Basketball Association. During the 1946-1947 postseason, Musi appeared in 10 games scoring 117 points with a 11.7 points per game average. In 161 career regular season games, he scored 1,359 points with a 8.4 lifetime points per game average. Following his basketball career, he worked in the vending machine industry. He was inducted into the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. (bio by: C.S.)
