His obituary reported "Alvis C. Beaty, age 90, Rt. 2, Paoli, died at 12:20 AM. Wednesday, July 19 at Bloomington Hospital. He was born May 15, 1894 in Orange County to George and Jane Seybold Beaty. He was a retired employee with Western Electric Company, Chicago; and a member of the South Liberty Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include a son, Coen Beaty of Sun City, Ariz.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held from Brosmer-Drabing Funeral Home, with burial in South Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home after 6:30 p.m. Thursday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday."
