Our beloved Mom and "Mom-Mom," Juanita Erhart Cheney, was called home after a full and blessed life on October 16, 2009. She was 96. Juanita was born in Adrian, Missouri, to Andrew and Lillie Maggie Conard Erhart. She spent the greater part of her youth in Larned, Kansas, where she graduated high school. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Harold D. Cheney. The depression years were difficult, but Juanita and Harold made a home and began a family. Their three cherished daughters, Shirley, Pat, and Pearl completed the family circle. Juanita was a dedicated Christian and music lover. She shared her degree in music with family and church families for many years. She was a longtime member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, and at the time of her death was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Juanita retired after 30 years from Tinker Air Force Base and was currently a resident of Village on the Park Independent Living Community. She spent her final 10 years there, enjoying crafts, Skip-Bo and Bridge. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold D. Cheney; her parents; three sisters; four brothers; and grandson, Rick Parris. Her survivors include three daughters: Shirley Beesley and Pat Reynolds, both of Norman, Pearl Kirkham of Oklahoma City; and brother, Delbert Erhart of Lawrence, Kansas. Also missing their sweet Mom-Mom are 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 2:00 PM, at Southern Hills United Methodist Church.
