KEITH BENNETT UPTON, 89, of Belleville, IL., born Oct. 3, 1912, in Kentucky, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, Rosewood Care Center, Belleville, IL. Mr. Upton was a purchasing agent for the U. S. Army Mobility Equipment Command, St. Louis, Mo. He was a retired member of the U. S. Army Air Corps. He served in the China Burma Theatre during World War II. He was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church, Belleville, IL. Mr. Upton was preceded in death by his parents, John Preston and Eva O., nee Smith, Atkins; a brother, Glenn Atkins; and a sister, Olive Upton. Surviving are his wife, Ruth, nee Sager, Upton; and a son, Dan Upton of Belleville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Christian Church, Belleville, IL., or to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Hillcrest Christian Church, 7401 W. Main St., Belleville, IL., with the Rev. Doug Cripe officiating.
