Clessie F. Miller, 93, of Shelbyville, formerly of Cowden, died at 9:20 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 23, 1993) in Shelby Memorial Hosptial.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden.
He was born Oct. 3, 1899, in Fayette County, the son of John and Maggie Jones Miller. He married Blanche Pauline Randall Aug. 19, 1937, and she died Feb. 8, 1985.
Surviving are a son, W.P. Miller of Shelbyville; brothers, Harold Miller and Lew Miller, both of Shelbyville; sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Rose) Taylor and Mrs. Glen (Alta) Brunk, both of Shelbyville, Mrs. Joe (Stella) Zander of Cowden, Mrs. Al (Ruby) Bartolino of Litchfield and Mrs. Max (Mina) Hodson of Flat Rock; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Two sisters, one brother and one great-grandson preceded him in death.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Holliday Christian Church and affiliated with the Second Street Church of Christ. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Workers.
