Funeral services for John R. ARNETT were held Friday afternoon. Mr. ARNETT, aged 62, died Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Church of Christ. Rev. Joe Mitchell, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.
Mr. ARNETT, a carpenter, was born on June 13, 1922 in Butler, Oklahoma, the son of Ross and Hattie Fulton ARNETT. He had made his home in Perryton for some 40 years.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; two sons, Kenneth of Perryton and Jerrel of Farmington, New Mexico; three daughters, Ann DUNSWORTH and Lela Mae BRYAN, both of Perryton, and Marie KARBER of Balko; a sister, Lillian BARNTINE of Elk City, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
