William Douglas 73,well known farmer of Bement township for 40 years died Friday in his home. The funeral will be held Sunday in the Methodist church with burial in the Frantz cemetery.
He was born in Piatt county, where most of the members of his family remained. He was married to Miss Martha Kizer who survives him. their two children both died the son Walter Clarkson succumbing to influenza while at Camp Grant during the World war. He is survived by sisters,Mrs. J. A. Hizer,Mrs. H.F. Shambaugh of Cerro Gordo,brothers,T. D,H.F.,J. M. Clarkson of Decatur.
