Tom Sparks, 94, of Omak, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak.
He was born on June 10, 1910 in Marshall, Madison Co., North Carolina. He moved at an early age with his family to the Pasco area and later to the Omak area, where he was a longtime resident. He was a farmer, a miner, and a heavy equipment operator for the state Highway Department. He also worked for Biles Coleman Lumber Co. for many years, retiring in 1972.
Survivors include his children, Edward Sparks of Kennewick, Steve Sparks of Dallas, Texas, and Delores Dolgner and Carolyn Bonar, both of Omak; a brother, John Sparks of Omak; and a sister, Jessie Albright of Keizer, Ore.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Omak Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan.
Arrangements are by Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel.
