HARRIET (FOX) WILLITS
Harriet Fox (sometimes spelled Harriott) married Dr. Mark Willits in Henry County, Indiana, on 11/30/1824. She was a daughter of Martin Fox of Connecticut.
Mark and Harriet lived in Indiana until about 1833. This is where their four oldest children were born. By 1834 the family had migrated to Mercer County, Illinois where at least five more children were born. Around 1850 they had moved to Beloit, Rock County, Wisconsin just North of Illinois. They lived in Wisconsin for about 5 - 10 years. Mark passed away on Jan 2, 1863 in Monroe, Green County, Wisconsin. In the 1870 & 1880 census Harriet is living in California with her children. She dies in 1895 at the age of 87 and is buried in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California.
