Delta Rhea Call was born 27 April 1904 in Rigby, Jefferson, Idaho, USA. She was 9th of the eleven children born to Omer Samuel Call (1857-1930) and Anne Mette [Madsen] Call (1867-1941) (the second child to be born in the new brick house that her father had built with his own hands). Her Siblings Are: Sarah Annie [Call] Hoggan (1886-1917), Omer Mathew Call (1888-1972), Sylvester Call (1891-1984), Irene Pearl [Call] Larsen (1893-1979), Heber Leslie Call (1895-1919), Floyd Call (1897-1970), Cyrus Bernard Call (1899-1974), George Charles Call (1902-1970), Delbert Fremont Call (1907-1982) and Lavina [Call] Kinney (1910-1979). She was blessed on 3 July 1904 by Jarius Albert Call and she was baptized 3 August 1912 by R. E. Cleveland in the Rigby Canal and confirmed 24 August 1912 by R. E. Dixon.
She married Lewis William Cottle (1903-1990) on 17 March 1926 in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah They are the parents of two children; Rhea Cottle (Robert) Nelson (1929-2014) and Lewis Cottle (1942-1942). After their marriage the couple first lived in Shelley, Idaho were their daughter Rhea was born. They then moved to Pocatello, Idaho were their son Lewis was born. Delta received a patriarchal blessing by Hyrum Crane on 7 June 1951. Delta and Lewis were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While they lived in Pocatello she served in many callings including as a dance director. She served as a Relief Society Counselor under 3 presidents; Millie Bird, Nora Davis & Iriminda Stephenson and also served as Relief Society secretary under Betty Evans. Delta worked as a beauty operator for many years and her husband Lewis was a barber. She was an excellent cook and she loved to square dance. Delta was friendly and had many friends and she especially loved her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
In the 1960's they moved to Alameda, California to be closer to their daughter Rhea and her family. Delta and Lewis served as stake missionaries and as officiators in the Oakland LDS Temple. Delta was 97 years of age when she passed away on 17 December 2001 in Alameda, Alameda, California. Her body was brought back to Pocatello, Idaho and she was laid to rest next to her husband in the Mountain View Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhea (Cottle) Nelson, her three granddaughters, Nancy Lynn Nelson, Karen Nelson (John) Larson, Dana Nelson (John) Mclens and four great-grandchildren, Riley & Ian Mclens and Axel and Erika Larson; and sister-in-law, Ruth Estella "Stella" Call of Rigby, Idaho,

She was preceded in death by her Husband Lewis William Cottle; Son, Lewis Cottle; son-in-law, Robert William Nelson (1927-1999); her Parents, Omer Samuel Call and Anne Mette Madsen Call and her 10 brothers and sisters, Sarah Annie Call Hoggan, Omer Mathew Call, Sylvester Call, Irene Pearl Call Larsen, Heber Leslie Call, Floyd Call, Cyrus Bernard Call, George Charles Call, Delbert Fremont Call and Lavina Call Kinney.

Graveside services were held on Dec. 28, 2001 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Bannock, Idaho.
