Edmund David "Ted" Wilkins, age 66, of Kermit, Texas, passed away Friday, July 2, 2004, at his residence in Kermit, Texas. He had been a resident of Kermit for 4 years and was a prior resident of Junction, TX. He was born August 7, 1937 in Waukesha, WI, to the late Vernon Clyde and Violet Irene (Lapp) Wilkins. He was a Veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Wilkins was a self employed Sports Track and Field Consultant. Ted was a caring father and grandfather who loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Ted was a musician and loved to entertain people. He was a fisherman and enjoyed the opportunity to get away.
He is survived by his Four (4) Daughters: Virginia Sallee Wilkins of Flagstaff, Arizona; Carin Irene Sein and Jennifer Loretta Watkins both of Caldwell, Idaho; and Peggy Sue Wilkins of Hagerstown, Maryland. Four (4) Sons: Edmund David Wilkins, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; Martin Clyde Wilkins of Boise, Idaho; David Leo Wilkins of Caldwell, Idaho and Carl Allen Wilkins of Morgantown, North Carolina. Three (3) Sisters: Neena Henry of Escondido, California; Sally of Colorado; and Sandra Jones of California; Two (2) Brothers: Everett Wilkins and Michael Wilkins both of San Antonio, Texas. Ted is also survived by Twelve (12) Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Wilkins was preceded in death by one (1) Son: Larry Robin Wilkins in 1990.
Visitation for Mr. Wilkins was Sunday, July 4, 2004 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at Family Services Funeral Chapel; he will be laid to rest at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho. Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor, Kermit, Texas
