Mabel, wife of Tivis Statler, died at her home in Red Star suburb at 10:30 p.m. Saturday of congestion of the stomach. she had been ill 11 weeks.
Mrs. Statler, who was 27 years old, was born Nov. 8, 1896, near Sedgewickville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Seabaugh. She was married to Statler nine years ago and had lived here for more than six years.
She is survived by five children, four brothers and four sisters, and her parents, in addition to her husband. The sisters are; Mrs. Dora Seabaugh, Marquand; Mrs. Beulah Hinkle, and Misses Grace and Zoa Seabaugh, all of whom live in Cape Girardeau. The brothers are; Columbus, Modie, Wilburn and Herbert Seabaugh, all of Cape Girardeau. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seabaugh, reside at 919 South Fountain street.
The remains were taken today to Sedgewickville, where services were held this afternoon. Interment was in a cemetery there.
