Clayton Marshall Dies in Hospital

Arlington Youth Fails to Rally After Operation

Clayton Marshall died Tuesday afternoon about 4 o'clock in an Omaha hospital where he had been | for the past week in a serious condition. He was taken ill a week ago Saturday and when peritonitis developed he was | rushed to the hospital Wednesday and an emergency operation was performed. Several other operations were resorted to, but to no avail.

Mr. Marshall was born October 9, 1905, and after graduating from the Arlington high school he spent practically all his time on the farm, assisting his father.

Besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Marshall, he is survived by two brothers, Leslie of South Pasadena, Calif., and Howard of Arlington, three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Echtenkamp, Mrs. Julia Neuerenberg and Georgia Marshall, all of Arlington.

Word was received from Leslie Marshall Wednesday that he would be unable to attend the funeral. The service will be held Thursday | afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and 2 o'clock from the Congregational church, with Rev. Van Vaulkenburg in charge.
